Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers using enterprise standards.
Installation of patches on a regular schedule following a change management process.
Ability to provide proactive and reactive support for OS environment.
Ability to identify administration standards, issues and process improvement.
Ability to work closely with DBAs, software partners and Staff in a proactive and solution
oriented manner.
Must have strong Windows, Linux and Cisco networking background.
Excellent knowledge of server hardware, drivers, and protocols.
Experience with web-based applications.
Experience with security management - IPSEC, SSH, SSL, VPN, NAT.
Knowledge of networking TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP.
Knowledge of routing concepts, switches and VLAN, firewall, VPN, mail and proxy server.
Experience with system performance monitoring.
Experience with data backup, mirroring and recovery.
Administrative scripting (KSH, BASH, CSH etc.).
Solid planning skills.
Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technology a strong plus.
Experience managing database environments (Oracle, MS SQL) a great plus.
