Responsibilities:

• Market Intelligence: Develop and communicate knowledge of India supply base to inform global stakeholders of potential opportunities and risks.
• Supplier Evaluation : Undertake and document supplier assessments and incorporate risk management into establishing supplier contracts.
• Buying : Lead specific buying activities to ensure a secure and managed supply of goods and services.
• Process Leadership : Accountability locally for implementation of a sub-set of globally agreed processes e.g. Project & Risk Management, Corporate Responsibility, Knowledge Management.
• Business Relationships: Understand and develop effective business relationships with key or potential suppliers in the relevant market sectors.

Requirements:

• Academic / Professional qualification: Minimum graduate degree, preferably in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
• Technical / skills training : Professional purchasing training or accreditation is expected.
• Proven project management capability is preferred.
• At least 5 years working experience in India in a commercial role, preferably sourcing.
• Experience of working in a MNC company, preferably pharmaceutical.
